About Us

The Council includes representatives from diverse branches of healing, training organizations, individuals who practice or research a variety of healing techniques, and naturally gifted healers. The Council includes an active core who meets for telephone conferences monthly and an in-person meeting annually, with a number of advisors kept informed of Council activities and consulted in their areas of expertise.

We by no means represent all traditions or points of view but hope to have a broad enough cross section that healing wisdom can be fairly represented. We listen to our collective intuition, seek outside advice from experts, review available research, operate by consensus on decisions, and work to enhance awareness and acceptance of healing.

Brief Bio: Dr. Benor's bio summarizes his ongoing search for ever more ways to peel the onion of life's resistances, to reach the gnowing (with the inner knowing of truth which has the feel of spiritual rightness) that we are all cells in the body of the Infinite Source.

While his unique area of expertise is spiritual awareness and healing, his principal work is through wholistic healing – addressing spirit, relationships, mind, emotions and body.  He teaches TWR/WHEE, a potent self-healing method, with children and adults who are dealing with psychological and physical pains of all sorts, trauma and other forms of stress, low self-esteem, cravings and other issues.  He helps people in person in Guelph, ON, Canada and worldwide on phone and Skype.

Bio: Daniel J. Benor, M.D. is a wholistic psychotherapist.  His psychotherapy blends elements from intuitive and spiritual awareness, spiritual healing (as in Therapeutic Touch and Reiki), TWR/WHEE - Wholistic Hybrid derived from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), transactional analysis, two-chair work (gestalt therapy), meditation, imagery and relaxation, dream analysis, and other approaches.  Dr. Benor has taught this spectrum of methods internationally for 25 years to people involved in wholistic, intuitive, and spiritual approaches to caring, health and personal development.

Dr. Benor founded The Doctor-Healer Network in England and North America.  After 10 years in England he returned to work in the US and relocated to Canada in 2006.  He is the author of Healing Research, Volumes I-III and many articles on wholistic, spiritual healing. He is the Editor-in-Chief and publisher of the International Journal of Healing and Caring - On Line www.ijhc.org.

He appears internationally on radio and TV.  He is a Founding Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM), Past Coordinator for the Council for Healing, and for many years on the advisory boards of the journals, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, Explore, Subtle Energies (ISSSEEM), Frontier Sciences, the Advisory Councils of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychotherapy (ACEP) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and the Advisory Board of the Research Council for Complementary Medicine (UK), Core reviewer for BioMed Central, Complementary and Alternative Medicine – On line.

Wholistic Healing

Wholistic Healing addresses:

Spirit – offering spiritual healing and introducing careseekers to ways of connecting with their own spiritual awareness and healing

Relationships – offering psychotherapy to deal with issues of caressekers with other people and with the environment

Mind – inviting new ways of understanding self and developing creative ways to relate to the world

Emotions – developing ways to identify emotional blocks and excesses from current and past situations and to deal with them constructively

Body – learning to listen to what the body is saying, then dealing with stressors that challenge the body’s coping mechanisms

For more on Wholistic Healing click here.

Wholistic Psychotherapy was developed through the study of psychology, then medicine, and psychiatry (when this was primarily psychotherapy), supplemented by studies of a broad spectrum of wholistic approaches. This includes many variations on the theme of self-healing: relaxation, meditation, imagery, gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis, and a therapy I developed myself called TWR/ WHEE: Wholistic Hybrid derived from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Mary Frost, RN, MS, HNB-BC, ret., CHTP, CHTI, CHt

My life and work as a Holistic Nurse Healer in independent practice has been based near the beach on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I deeply believe in the healing of the whole Self, Spirit-Body-Mind, and my practice includes seeing individuals for many types of life challenges and 'dis-ease'.

I employ a variety of Healing Arts including Healing Touch, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Life Counseling and draw from a wide variety of other studies.  Integrative care includes supporting clients in hospital, home, hospice, and while undergoing surgery.
I offer seminars to health care professionals and lay persons and have taught the Healing Touch curriculum nationally and Internationally in Bermuda, Romania and South Africa as well as in the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Program. After raising my own son with Healing Touch, I developed a class to teach children Healing Touch and self-healing concepts and call it, "Little Hands Make Light Work". Another joy has been to serve as faculty for Blue Cliff College for many years in New Orleans, Gulfport, and Baton Rouge in the Massage Therapy Curriculum. I have had the pleasure of being a contributing writing to various nursing and holistic health publications, participating in research projects and producing a meditation recording.

I passionately believe it is time for us all to know and connect with our personal sacred Self, grow conscious community, and restore relationship with our natural environment.

I am dedicated to supporting the Council for Healing, bringing the Healing Community together and offering all persons an expanding variety of health care and self-care choices.

ASSOCIATION FOR REORGANIZATIONAL HEALING PRACTICE

Reorganizational Healing is an approach to developing new personalized strategies to evolve health and life to more effective, vital, conscious levels. It considers intrinsic factors enhancing one's energetic resources along with one's most effective nature and style of change. With ROH, life challenges, symptoms, and diseases become opportunities to go beyond one's familiar baseline of living to claim a bolder more vital and resourceful state of health, wellness, productivity and life.

Network Spinal Analysis is a system of assessment and low force applications that are applied at Spinal Gateways to assist the brain to connect more effectively with the spine and body. A person can utilize the tension stored along the spine as fuel for the healing process. Two healing waves develop spontaneously along the spine to help regulate spinal tension and advance overall wellness.

Network Care has been shown to promote an individual’s experience of greater physical and mental/emotional wellness, as well as, to reduce stress, enhance the ability to make healthier choices, enjoy life more, and improve one’s quality of life.

The Mission of the Association for Reorganizational Healing Practice (ARHP) is to:

The mission of the Association for Reorganizational Healing Practice is to provide inspired leadership within a vital community advancing the practice of Reorganizational Healing, through exceptional standards and supportive advocacy.

“Network Care has a direct effect on client self-reported wellness which is twice that expected from healthy lifestyle practices (exercise, risk avoidance, optimal food choices). Network also has a major indirect effect on wellness by promoting healthy lifestyle choices.”

Rev. Cay-Randall-May, PhD

My healing work begins with an intuitive scan f the physical and energy bodies to assess imbalances and strengths.  This can be done in the physical presence of the client or at a distance.  The client and I then discuss what is going on in their lives on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.  We examine deeper issues related to life purpose, use of talents, relationships, and use of personal power.  I hold a position on and am certified as a medical intuitive through the American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition.

The next step in my healing involves hands-on prayer during which I clairvoyantly observe repairs and other changes in the body’s energy field.  My prayerful healing approach has evolved from many years’ experience in leading prayer groups.  I am an ordained minister with the International Council of Community Churches and also the Science of Mind Church for Spiritual Healing.  In addition, I have held certification as a spiritual healer with the Universal Holistic Healers’ Association.

My book, “Pray Together Now, How to Find or Form a Prayer Group” (Element Books, 1999; Vega Books, 2002) documents my experiences in leading a non-denominational prayer group since 1985.  I have also taught many classes and written numerous articles and essays about psychic and intuitive development,  metaphysics, dreams, prayer/spiritual healing, ancient scriptures, and comparative religious studies.

In 2006 I plan to lecture widely and teach on-line and other courses on the topic of my latest book, “The Intuitive Career, How to Succeed as a Consultant, Reader, or Healer” (CayMay Press, 2005).  Two workbooks, “The Foundation” and “Modern Options”, each with accompanying CD,  compliment the book (CayMay Press, 2005).  I am also available for personal coaching and mentoring in careers based on energy medicine and intuition.

My Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Entomology from the University of California, Berkeley, give me a strong background in comparative anatomy/physiology which I draw upon in my intuitive work.  In addition to health-related applications,  I have also devoted many years to intuitive scientific and technical innovation and have published in this field.

I use my artistic abilities in my inventive work, but also as a fine artist.  In recent years I have displayed my artwork in several juried shows,  had one-woman exhibits, and have taught fine art at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix.

Inspired by her own personal healing experience through prayer,  Rev. Cay Randall-May, Ph.D. was led to devote her ministry to researching prayer and leading a prayer groups.  Her book, “Pray Together Now, How to Find or Form a Prayer Group” (Element Books, 1999; Vega Books, 2002) has become a classic reference documenting the history of over 90 prayer groups from many different Christian denominations and other faiths.

The Rev./Dr. Randall-May holds ordination in the International Council of Community Churches and the International Science of Mind Church for Spiritual Healing.  She has led an interdenominational prayer group in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, for more than 20 years and welcomes the opportunity to assist others who would like to experience group prayer.

She also performs personal healings using prayerful laying-on-of-hands.  These are often done in groups or personally, as well as at a distance.  She believes that prayer is one of the most widely called upon and powerful of all approaches to healing of self and others.  It is equally applicable for physical, emotional, energetic, or spiritual issues and even is effective in the face of complex or traumatic grief and loss.

According to Randall-May, “The most rewarding result of using prayer on a regular basis is that the pray-er receives the most benefit in the form of joy and balance in all aspects of one’s life.  There is a tremendous sense of service which comes with being a prayer worker.”

MEDICAL INTUITION

Medical Intuition, a specialty of energy medicine, uses high sense perception and intuition to identify physical, emotional, and spiritual factors which contribute to well-being.  Practitioners in many healing modalities use their own intuition and that of professional intuitive consultants to address their clients' needs in a more in-depth manner. This approach to healing can effectively identify subtle factors which may go unrecognized using more conventional approaches.

This ancient approach to healing is particularly useful in today's frequently fragmented healthcare environment.  A skillful intuitive can detect meaningful variations in the client's energy field which may otherwise remain overlooked. These deviations from the norm are often markers of imbalances which can assist healthcare practitioners in their attempts to restore balance to the patient.

Prayer Healing

Prayer Healing, often considered laying-on-of-hands, is equally effective in person or at a distance. This can be a solitary activity or part of group interaction.  The Council takes an interdenominational, and interfaith approach to intercessory prayer.

Scott Walker, M.D.

I am interested in the destiny of humanity, the Holy Grail and the human heart as a spiritual organ of perception and transformation.   My work now involves listening to the stream of time from the future and prayer for a thriving world striving to be born.

My main project for our ailing world and the future is Eco-Prayer.org

Choose one or more Places, Plants, Peoples, or Animals that you LOVE and commit to praying for them and the Eco-System that supports them each day.

For example: I love Whales so each day: I pray for Narwhals and the arctic ocean that they live in.

I am Board Certified in Psychiatry with added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. I practiced in this subspecialty, as this is one area of medicine where spirituality is openly considered (most often in the context of twelve step programs).

My own native gifts for “hands on healing” emerged.  I saw healing ranging from; biopsy proven, solid, malignant cancers disappearing overnight, to long estranged families coming back together.  I sought training in the church but found little integration of biopsychosocial dimensions of healing. So I pursued training in a number different schools of healing to broaden my understanding and skills.

I have found Noetic Field Therapy to be an approach to healing that allows integration of biomedical knowledge, sophisticated psychology (most especially forgiveness), energy field dynamics, “mystery school” understanding of the nature of creation and the blessings of spiritual help.

My current project includes global prayer for the environment.

You can learn more at Eco-Prayer.org

NOETIC FIELD THERAPY

Noetic means spiritual mind and derives from the Greek word nous, which is the wind of spirit that emerges from the void as the first emanating spirit of creation. Noetic Field Therapy is a spiritual approach to counseling and personal development that helps awaken us to our soul, align with our destiny and develop our natural spiritual power. The Noetic field is more than the energy field surrounding the body. It is also the mind and spirit that communicates within, and through the energy field. The inner dimensions of our psyche, including the unconscious and archetypal levels of conventional psychology, appear around our physical body as layers of beliefs, emotions and archetypal forms. Our issues and concerns appear as blocks and distortions in the energy patterns of this field. Transformation occurs through an alliance of intervening spiritual energies, unfolding soul energies, and our own self forgiveness.

Self Healing

Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie.
William Shakespeare, All's Well That Ends Well

Self-Healing is most likely the oldest mode of healing we know as human beings.  We have the innate ability to heal or restore ourselves when listening to the healing voice and power from within.  Many healing modalities are very powerful and allow the clients to attain a sense of greater wholeness or to come a step closer to the ideal state of well-being, in which physical, cognitive, social, emotional, mental, environmental and spiritual functions are integrated.  All healing modalities include some potential for self-healing, acknowledged in conventional medicine as the placebo effect, although they often do not focus on self-healing or do not teach how to incorporate the modality into a personal or professional self-healing practice.  In other words, all methods of healing include a measure of self-healing.

Self-healing can be developed and deepened beyond the automatic, unconscious placebo response.  Self-healing can perhaps be best described as a process that empowers individuals by teaching them how they can deliberately access, activate and enhance their own healing potential.  Each individual can engage in self-healing as it addresses such basic components of life as relaxation, breathing, life-style, attitudes and much more.  By gaining a level of awareness of how to employ self-healing techniques, each person acquires an ever-increasing array of tools useful for active commitment to the process of re-creating their lives.  Self-healing places the emphasis on the client as the agent who gains cognitive, experiential, and practical techniques for daily use that energetically transform spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical imbalances that contribute to disease.  A facilitator for self-healing, who can model and teach one or more healing modalities, serves primarily as an assistant who helps to open doors that permit the clients to explore and remodel their personal and global universe from various perspectives and in varying contexts.  This may lead to a sense of hope, positive development, transcendence of challenges and fulfillment of needs both in a personal and professional context or deeper awareness of the purpose and meaning of life.

The National Institute of Health has published an interesting article with a historical perspective on the connection between “Self-healing, Patents, and Placebos”, from which the following is quoted (www.nlm.nih.gov/hmd/emotions/self.html):

You cannot write a prescription without the element of the placebo. A prayer to Jupiter starts the prescription. It carries weight, the weight of two or three thousand years of medicine.

      Eugene F. Dubois
"The Use of Placebos in Therapy," Cornell Conferences on Therapy, 1946
